1. Andrea Bocelli: Earlier life of a Musical Genius
He was always musically inclined, started in piano lessons at age 6. Other instruments that he took up side by side were the saxophone, trumpet, flute, guitar, trombone, and percussion.
Andrea might be blind. But he didn’t use it as an excuse like most others do to gain sympathy nor did it hamper his will power as a person to live and achieve. He started entering musical competitions. Credits to his caretaker for motivating him. Age 14, he won his first music competition with O sole Mio at the Margherita d’Oro in Viareggio instantly becoming everyone’s favorite. He completed his law schooling and holds a degree in it.
2.Journey to the top; Andrea’s Skyrocketing Career
He started as a piano player at pubs to earn money. Apart from his sight problem, he didn’t face many difficulties as a musician. He was instantly recruited by Caterina Caselli to try demo tape which was sent to Italian Rock star Zucchero in 1992. Their collaboration created a great frenzy. He was later accompanying Zucchero on his 1999 concert tour.
He signed a contract with Sugar music in Milan. Bocelli’s début album, ‘ il mare calmo della sera’ was released in April 1994. It earned certified platinum in mere weeks and came in the top ten Italian music charts. He has sold over 90 million copies which consisted of 15 solo studio albums and 9 complete operas.
Andrea Bocelli musical inspiration came from Franco Corelli, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Luciano Pavarotti, Beniamino Gigli. The influence of these mentioned personas had made him want to become an opera singer become stronger. He contacted popular tenor Franco Corelli to teach him and Corelli accepted him as his pupil right away. Being a college-goer, Andrea managed the tutoring fee by playing off in local pubs.

Andrea might have pursued music as his career but he was not behind in other aspects of his life. He had attended at University of Pisa and received his degree in 1986. He practiced as a court-appointed lawyer for a year until he realized where his real passion lied.
4. Andrea Bocelli’s Victorian novel like love
Love is not something you get easily served on a platter and it becomes more difficult to find true love when you have a prominent weakness. Something like being blind. But in his case love came to the blind. His former wife, 17-year-old, Enrica Cenzatti had apparently walked in the pub he played piano and sang for and instantly fell in love. She was mesmerized by his soul alluring voice.
They started feeling attracted to each other eventually getting married in June 1992. They have two children together. The elder son, Amos who just turn 24 and younger son, Matteo, who will turn 22 this year.
The marriage ended with a divorce tragically in the year 2002 but the ex-couple has decided to nurture their child together. Hence they decided to live close for the children’s convenience.
5. Second Manager-wife, Veronica Berti
On May 21, 2014, he married his then manager, Veronica Berti. Quite a coincidence that both his wives were once his managers. Maybe there is a pattern…maybe there isn’t. We’d never know??!! But what we do know is Bocelli was in love again. Soon news of Veronica and Bocelli welcoming their baby girl named Virginia in the year 2012 came about. The half-siblings and the wives, if not loving but are social towards each other. Bocelli’s younger son, Matteo is an aspiring tenor and musician like his father but it is yet to judge if he had his father’s skills too.
